Prodigy Point

Early Childhood Education Centers

Prodigy Point is committed to the total needs of your preschooler. In Lawrenceville, Georgia, our Sugarloaf Parkway location is conveniently located ½ mile northwest of Five Forks Trickum Road. We offer care for children between the ages of six weeks and twelve years of age and are considered a premier provider of daycare/childcare services in Gwinnett County.

While we are commonly referred to as a daycare or childcare, we are hesitant to refer to our services simply as "daycare" because we have much more to offer.

What makes us different?

When it comes to learning, kids do best when they're having fun. With that in mind, we've rounded out Prodigy Point's custom, copyrighted curriculum with plenty of field trips, special activities and educational games. The wide range of activities we plan are always developmentally appropriate for your child's age group and will appeal to his innate curiosity about the world. In the hands of our skilled instructors, learning becomes a pastime, not a chore. When kids discover early on that they enjoy learning, they're likely to carry this attitude with them all through life. At nearly 13,000 square feet, our facility is among the largest of its kind. This facilitates our spacious classrooms, each colorfully decorated and well-equipped with games, arts and crafts, providing your child with stimulating ways to learn and grow. Our clean, odor free facility is also designed with safety in mind - flooring materials, toys, and play equipment are all carefully selected and inspected regularly for signs of wear and tear. Our front door is secured, requiring an access code for entry. Each classroom is equipped with a security camera which can be viewed in the lobby. Our 25,000 square foot playground is fenced in, keeping your children out of harms way.

We adhere to the standards and practices set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are proud to be a NAEYC accredited school, this distinguished honor is achieved by very few schools and is granted by NAEYC only upon successful completion of a rigorous accreditation process. Early childhood programs accredited by NAEYC have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study and have invited external professionals to verify compliance with the accreditation criteria.

We significantly differentiate ourselves from our competition by maintaining a low staff to student ratio in each of our classrooms. At Prodigy Point on Sugarloaf Parkway, our owners are on-site everyday, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.

We invite you to tour our facility where you will experience the Prodigy Point difference for yourself.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on current educational research showing the impact of early activities on brain development. Prodigy Point provides a "hands-on" learning curriculum consistent with the standards of excellence set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Curriculum is built around monthly themes, chosen for their meaningfulness to children and their natural environment.

Infants

Babies are very special to us at Prodigy Point. We offer a loving, caring, environment where nurturing and physical affection are given freely.

The latest psychological studies demonstrate that infancy is the most important time in a child's life. This is the time when bonding (the process of building strong, lasting emotional ties), feelings of self-worth, confidence, independence, and fears, (both healthy and unhealthy) are rooted for a lifetime. We are dedicated to maintaining the strong bonds of intimacy, warmth, and security that your child enjoys at home, with you. We are also strongly committed to meeting your child's physical, psychological, and emotional needs while your infant is in our care.

At Prodigy Point, we place great emphasis on the individuality of each child. The nursery, with its 1:4 (teacher/infant) ratio, provides the opportunity for your baby to develop at his or her own pace in an atmosphere of security and love. The spacious, bright and cheerful room is designed to be visually stimulating with pictures, mobiles, unbreakable mirrors, and colorful toys that have been carefully selected to help develop hand-eye coordination and promote fine motor skills.

The program includes aural stimulation with music, songs, conversation, and toys that make, clicking, spinning, and squeaking sounds. Outside play provides for the sights and sounds of nature with the added health benefit of fresh air and sunshine.

Each day, children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills through active exploration in learning centers and during group time.

We welcome your baby to our Infant Program and are delighted to be able to share in the excitement and joys of your baby's day to day development. We consider it a privilege and look forward to wonderful and lasting relationship with you and your baby.

Toddlers

Toddlers are a very special group of children who are unique! At Prodigy Point we capitalize on the uniqueness by offering a learning, caring environment where nurturing and physical affection are freely given.

We further enhance that uniqueness by offering a low teacher/child ratio. This allows time for positive interaction between the teacher and toddler. This is essential for bonding and building self-esteem. Psychologists state that proper bonding is a prerequisite for building sound relationships that will last a lifetime. Individual development and growth are key concepts in our toddler program. All children are given opportunities to increase their gross and fine motor skills through exploration of various manipulative materials and developmentally appropriate toys and equipment.

Self-help skills such as feeding themselves, potty training, dressing, independence and self-confidence are fostered in our young toddlers. We offer activities for toddlers to explore their world through art, music, and creative movement in a challenging and stimulating environment. Music and songs also captivate our toddlers. We help to foster this love of music by having a professional music teacher visit our toddler room once a week.

Each day, children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills through active exploration in learning centers and during group time. Language, math, science, and art activities, appropriate for each age group, are built into each days lesson plan.

We welcome your toddler to our Toddler Program and are delighted to be able to share with you the excitement and joys of your toddlers day-to-day development. We consider it a privilege to be a part of that growth and development, and look forward to a wonderful relationship with you and your child.

Threes

The program offers Pre-Math (introduction to the concept of number recognition, counting, and geometric shapes), and Pre-Reading (introduction to the alphabet, visually and orally, and listening comprehension). Each day, children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills through active exploration in learning centers and during group time.

Language, art, math, and science activities appropriate for each age group are built into each day's lesson plan. In addition to those stimulating activities, we also provide a very special music program. A professional music teacher visits the classroom weekly with energetic and exciting songs, which truly engage the children. They love participating in seasonal, entertaining, and educational songs.

Our curriculum strives to further develop the child's self-confidence and social development. The child learns to share and interact in a group environment. We enhance the total child by allowing time in each day to display and recognize individual differences and needs.

We welcome your child to our Pre-K Three Program and are delighted to be able to share in the excitement and joys of your child's day-to-day development. We consider it a privilege and look forward to a wonderful and lasting relationship with you and your child.
